Ethanol production falls slightly while stocks rise to highest since mid-March

In Washington, Platts reports that Energy Information Administration Agency data shows ethanol production fell slightly last week to an average of 1.072 million b/d while stocks rose by of 94,000 barrels to their highest level since mid-March at 1.189 billion barrels. Even inventories in the East Coast region rose 48,000 barrels on the week as delayed trains made their way to the region to offset the deficit suffered for much of the summer. The Gulf Coast also rose to a record high at 5.152 million barrels following last week’s record high.
