Chinese investors look to set up biodiesel production in Malaysia

In Malaysia, Chinese investors are keen to set up bio-processing businesses including a Beijing Sanju Environmental Protection and New Materials Co who is seeking to set up a $200 million plant that will use palm kernel shells, palm fiber, empty fruit brunches and palm oil milk effluent waste to produce 400,000 metric tons of biofuel per year. In addition, Gangsu Amin Bio Halal Gelatine Co. wants to set up a bio-gelatine plant for the halal sector.
