Irish biodiesel and ethanol sales falls in July

In Ireland, Platts reports that biodiesel sales fell to 14.8 million liters in July, down 4.7% on the year, but ethanol suffered more as sales shrunk to just 4.4 million liters, down 10% compared to last year. On a volumetric basis, the biodiesel blending rate was 5.65%, lower than July 2017’s 5.77% but higher than June’s 5.05%. Ethanol’s blending rate was steady on the year at 5.1% but that was also lower than June’s 5.2%
