Indonesian biodiesel exports seen reaching 1 million tons despite B20

August 30, 2018 |

In Indonesia, Reuters reports that expectations for biodiesel exports are around 1 million metric tons this year compared to just 300,000 tons last year despite the push towards B20 that comes into effect on September 1. With European exports resumed after restrictions lifted in March and demand from China and India, members of the national biodiesel producers association had exported 716,599 tons through July. The association estimates that a total of 5 million tons of unblended biodiesel will be produced this year.
