Argentina to pass B10 mandate thanks to falling exports

September 5, 2018 |

In Argentina, while exports are dropping, domestic consumption is seen rising this year to an all-time high of 1.48 billion liters, and for the first time since the policy was put in place in 2014, the blending rate will be above the mandated 10% at 10.3%. Some analysts blame the US’s anti-dumping duties on Argentine biodiesel as a key factor on squeezing production this season. The USDA estimates exports will fall 28% on the year to 1.35 billion liters.
