Triveni Engineering says $1.78 billion could be invested in new ethanol plants in four years

In India, the Business Standard reports in an interview with managing director of Triveni Engineering that if just half of the 200 ethanol distilleries that have applied for soft funding come to fruition over the next four years, it could represent more than $1.78 billion in investment. Those hundred facilities could lead to an average of 25,000 new jobs as well as 1 billion liters of additional ethanol production per day. For its part, Triveni is investing $27.5 million in a new distillery as well.
