October 29, 2018 |

In India, the Press Trust of India reports that following a complaint by a local doctor to the National Green Tribunal that the central government must implement its 10% ethanol blending mandate for the health of the community and not just talk about it, as alluded to by only achieving 2% blending so far, the court has urged the government to do everything it can to achieve the mandate. The NGT doesn’t have jurisdiction to force the government to move faster on the issue but has urged the appropriate ministries to act without haste for the good of the environment.
