US looking to reduce anti-dumping duties on Argentine biodiesel imports

November 8, 2018 |

In Argentina, Reuters reports that the US Department of Commerce is looking at making a remarkable move by reviewing the current terms of anti-dumping tariffs on Argentine biodiesel imports. Argentina’s foreign ministry said if negotiations were successful, the country’s biodiesel could recover market access. Argentina’s biodiesel exports fell to nil in September and October after exporting 1.1 million metric tons through August. Of that total, about 85% went to the European Union who is now also considering again applying import tariffs.
