European Commission opens investigation into potential Indonesian biodiesel dumping

December 17, 2018 |

In Belgium, the European Commission has published a notice in its official journal that it will begin an investigation into potential biodiesel dumping by Indonesia following a complaint made in October by the European biodiesel industry. The complaint alleges that Indonesia subsidizes its biodiesel industry though direct payments as well as tax breaks and government supplies of inputs below market prices. The European Commission believes enough evidence has been demonstrated to open an investigation that could lead to anti-dumping duties.
