Heriot-Watt University researchers seeking input on aviation biofuel study

December 25, 2018 |

In the UK, Heriot-Watt University School of Social Sciences is looking for volunteers to participate in an interview for our project titled “Assessing Sustainable Aviation Biofuel Production Technologies”. This project is a part of a larger EPSRC-funded project that aims to produce low carbon jet fuels through integration of novel technologies for co-valorisation of CO2 and biomass (EP/N009924/1) https://lcjf.hw.ac.uk/.

The key objectives of the interview are to gather views and opinions from various stakeholders on UK aviation biofuel sector:
1) what are the key barriers and opportunities for commercial development, deployment and consumption of sustainable aviation fuels?
2) what are the key criteria that one needs to consider when evaluate/prioritize the competing conversion pathways for specific stakeholders?
3) how policy can be shaped to foster this new industry?

The study will take no more than 60 minutes. In situations where interviewee is unable to meet, researchers can arrange a Skype call at a convenient time.
