Azerbaijan to get “bio”diesel plant using waste tyres as feedstock

In Azerbaijan, local press reports that a “bio”diesel facility is being developed at the new Balakhani Industrial Park that will use waste tyres as feedstock. The $1.76 million facility will create 20 jobs but the investor nor the technology to be employed was revealed by the country’s economy minister who announced the new project. The facility is among more than a dozen others who have set up shop at the industrial park in recent years to take advantage of the facilities there. The park has already more than tripled in size since it was launched in 2011.
