Brazil H1 January ethanol production hits 70 million liters

In Brazil, Platts reports that UNICA data shows that 70 million liters of ethanol was produced during the first half of January with just seven mills still crushing after the end of the official season on December 31. That figure is compared to just 42 million liters produced during H1 January 2017. Of the total produced, half was hydrous and half of anhydrous. Ethanol production for the season that began in April 2018 has risen nearly 20% on the year so far at more than 30 billion liters, with hydrous production up 44% on the year.
