UK industry stockpiling ethanol ahead of Brexit

In the UK, ICIS reports that ahead of Brexit, ethanol prices have been running up as chemical industries seek to stock up in case there are issues that could impede sourcing come April. The weakness of the Pound against the Euro resulting from concerns about Brexit impacts on regional and global markets has also helped to drive up prices. UK premiums have been on the rise since Q3 2018 but there was a noticeable uptick in January as March 29 inches closer.
