Eni looking to phase out palm oil as completely as possible

In Italy, Eni says it is working towards achieving the European Union rule to phase out palm oil as feedstock for biodiesel as it works to integrate other feedstocks into its supply chain such as used cooking oil through various partnerships nationwide. The company says it might even be able to eliminate the use of palm oil all together, but if not will at least aim to reduce its use significantly. Currently, the company’s Venice biorefinery uses 85% palm oil as feedstock.
