Ethanol production falls only slightly despite Midwest floods

In Washington, Platts reports that Energy Information Administration data shows that despite flooding across the Midwest that has inhibited flow of ethanol and feedstock as well as production in some cases, as well as those who have idled production due to low prices, production only fell by 2,000 b/d last week to an average of 1.004 million b/d. Total stocks also rose by 681,000 barrels to 24.412 million barrels with inventories in the Midwest, East Coast and West Coast, the later even without imports for 18 straight weeks.
