Biobased Maine’s Executive Director moves to Department of Economic and Community Development

In Maine, Biobased Maine, a membership organization whose mission is to achieve a sustainable biobased manufacturing industry in the state of Maine, said their Executive Director, Charlotte Mace, has been appointed to direct the Office of Business Development for the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development. She will move on from her role with Biobased Maine, but will continue to support Maine’s growing bioeconomy.

According to Biobased Maine’s news release, “On the frontlines of attracting investment, she will lead a team helping Maine’s industries grow and rural communities prosper. Our state is fortunate to have her in this leadership role.

On a personal note, Charlotte says, “Thank you for a wonderful four and a half years, and I hope our paths cross early and often as we all work together for this great state of Maine.”
