Zimbabwe gasoline prices drop 9 cents as E10 returns

In Zimbabwe, local press reports that in response to increased availability of ethanol, the government has boosted the ethanol blend to 10% from 5% and in turn reduced the price of gasoline at the pump by 9 cents per liter to around $1.48 per liter. Heavy rains have kept domestic ethanol producers from supplying the E15 mandate for the last several months, so the government responded by cutting the blend to 5%. The government is investing in ethanol storage capacity in order to better manage the supply during periods of low production.
