Government adds three more provinces to biochemical hub

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post newspaper reports that the country is moving ahead quickly with the development of its bioeconomy initiatives with implementation of three new areas in the biochemical hub in Chachoengsao, Ubon Ratchathani and Lop Buri beyond the four already under way in Khon Kaen, Nakhon Sawan, Kamphaeng Phet and Udon Thani. The three newly-added regions are significant producers of sugarcane and cassava which are promoted feedstocks for the burgeoning biochemical industry the government has prioritized.
