Fiberight starts accepting MSW at Maine facility

May 6, 2019 |

In Maine, local press reports that the long-awaited Fiberight plant that aims to produce ethanol from much of the state’s organic MSW has finally started accepting feedstock for processing, almost a year later than first planned. Early stages of the project are using MSW from about a dozen communities but will eventually ramp up to the 115 communities belonging to the Municipal Review Committee whom Fiberight has the feedstock supply agreement with. The company expects to have all of the small tweaks worked out by July.
