Bio-D successfully producing and marketing UCO biodiesel in India

In India, Bio-D has achieved 95% efficiency in biodiesel production from used cooking oil, processing about 6 metric tons per day, creating fuel that reduces greenhouse gases by up to 75%. Currently the company collects oil from more than 1,000 restaurants around the National Capital Region including McDonald’s, KFC and Burger King, paying 3.5 cents per liter. Major oil marketing companies buy the company’s fuel but Bio-D is currently looking for buyers of its glycerin.
