EU-funded RoadToBio project publishes strategy to achieve 25% bio in chemical industry by 2030

In Germany, the European-funded RoadToBio project has published a detailed strategy document that aims to guide the European chemical industry towards integration with the bioeconomy through looking at current and future opportunities for biochemicals in everything from cosmetics and paints to agricultural materials and surfactants. The strategy’s aim is for the European chemical industry to achieve 25% of production from organic raw materials by 2030 in line with the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC)’s target set in 2017.
