Greenergy pulled out of FOG waste biodiesel project in February

May 22, 2019 |

In the UK, local press reports that Greenergy pulled out of a 2011 JV with to produce biodiesel with Brocklesby from waste fats and oils back in February, well before the recent investigation into biodiesel price fixing. In April, the writing was already on the wall for the facility that had more than GBP2.6 million in losses and had never achieved commercial viability when the remaining partner applied to deregister the facility. The report did not indicate if the facility was for sale.
