Zimbabwe’s first MSW-to-energy plant receives $150 million investment

In Zimbabwe, Pragma Leaf Consulting Zimbabwe will invest $150 million in the country’s first MSW-to-energy plant that has been on the docks since 2014 but is now quickly moving through the front-end engineering design phase as well as land acquisition and licensing. The technology provider has been identified by wasn’t mentioned by local press. Construction is set to start in 2020, and phase 2 production will see up to 20MW of power produced. Biofuels and gas will be produced during phase 1.
