KOKO Networks rolls out 700 ethanol cooking fuel ATMs across Nairobi

May 29, 2019 |

In Kenya, KOKO Networks has rolled out a whopping 700 “ATMs” across Nairobi dispensing ethanol for clean cooking. In conjunction with the increased availability of the fuel, the company also released its double burning cookstove. The Kenyan government is seeking to transition the country to 100% clean cooking fuel, away from the kerosene and charcoal that leads to 21,000 deaths per year from indoor air pollution, and the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Energy who was on hand for the roll out of the ATM network said that KOKO Fuel is one of the key ways to achieve that transition.
