Public sale of B10 officially launched in Thailand

May 30, 2019 |

In Thailand, PetrolPlaza reports that B10 fuel officially went on sale this week when the country’s energy minister officiated at the first public sale, known as UltraForce Diesel B10 and retailed by PTT. In an effort to encourage drivers to switch to B10 from the current standard of B7, there is a 3 cent per liter excise tax discount. The aim is for B10 to be the main diesel fuel by 2021, which would increase biodiesel consumption by half a million metric tons to 2 million tons.
