SE Asia biodiesel prices holding steady as buyers and sellers remain on sidelines

July 16, 2019 |

In Singapore, ICIS reports that palm oil-based biodiesel prices are holding steady at $580-630/ton FOB SE Asia as both buyers from China and many sellers remain on the sidelines of the market. Demand is available at below that range but sellers say they can’t make a profit at below $610/ton. Increased domestic demand through biofuel blending mandates are expected to remove some of the pressure to export surplus supplies, at least in the near term.
