Malaysia calling on the EU to accept MSPO as a recognized certification scheme under REDII

In Malaysia, as part of bilateral dialogue with the European Union over the past three months, in an attempt to resolve the impasse over palm oil’s indirect land use change impacts and future ban into the European market, the country is urging the European Union to accept and recognize the MSPO certification scheme as one of the voluntary schemes under the Directive for the certification of low indirect land use change risk biofuels and bioliquid.
