Europe’s first proposed carbon neutral mine to use biodiesel as part of energy supply

In the UK, local press reports that the proposed gold and silver mine in the Sperrins in Northern Ireland will be the first carbon neutral mine in Europe in part due to its use of biodiesel among other types of renewable energy for power, fuel efficiency measures that will reduce fuel consumption by 25% and the use of electric vehicles. Water demand will also be reduced by 30% and no cyanide at all will be used.
