In the UK, Business Live reports that local authorities are working with LanzaTech on a potential pilot project to use its technology at the Tata steelworks facility in Port Tabot for the production of 30 million gallons of aviation biofuel annually. The project, along with a number of other renewable energy projects including waste-to-energy are part of the Neath Port Talbot Council’s draft Decarbonization and Renewable Energy Strategy. Now the proposed Decarbonization and Renewable Energy Strategy has been endorsed by the Cabinet, it will go out to public consultation before a final version is adopted.
