Brazilian ethanol production seen reaching 31.6 billion liters this year

In Brazil, Agencia Brasil reports that data from the national supply agency CONAB shows ethanol production could reach 31.6 billion liters this year with 1.34 billion liters coming from corn and the rest from sugarcane. More than 94% of the corn-based ethanol comes from the country’s center-west region. Anhydrous ethanol production was seen rising 12.6% on the year to 10.5 billion liters. Hydrous ethanol, on the other hand, is seen falling more than 14% on the year to 19.8 billion liters.
