EPA administrator says ethanol deal around 15 billion gallons, not 16 billion

In Washington, Successful Farming reports that less than 48 hours after Reuters reported President Trump saying the new ethanol deal will get ethanol demand to close to 16 billion liters, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency said that in fact it would “net out” at about 15 billion gallons after small refinery hardship waivers are considered, similar to the statutory blending requirement under the Renewable Fuel Standard. He said the details of the plan should be ready in the next two weeks.
