Kilpatrick Townsend takes lead as “Big Law Fights Climate Change”

October 11, 2019 |

In New York, the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School is collaborating with several law firms, including Kilpatrick Townsend, to publish Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States, a legal playbook that will provide pathways for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S. This resource will offer recommendations — such as model legislation, regulations, contracts, etc. — to guide both the public and private sectors in achieving emissions reduction goals.

Washington, D.C. Partner Mark Riedy and Associate Dongyu Eddie Wang are currently working with C. Baird Brown, the author of “Chapter 6: Financing at the Grid Edge,” to draft recommendations for pathways to reduce emissions at the grid edge. Founded in 2009, the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law is a prominent think tank and training ground, providing up-to-date information and resources on key topics and promoting advances in the interrelated fields of climate law, environmental regulation, energy regulation, and natural resources law.
