Philippines looking to unbundle biofuels and more from oil prices to reduce anti-competitive behavior

In the Philippines, the Department of Energy is seeking to crack down on anti-competitive behavior when it comes to fuel pricing nationwide, an issue it is looking at even more closely since the drone attacks on a Saudi oil facility in September. The proposed oil deregulation law would unbundle fuel prices so they are easier to track. Adjusting the law would force fuel retailers to report data to the Department of Energy including a laundry list of price data including the prices paid for biofuels.
