Brazilian ethanol exports to California seen nearly doubling on year through September

October 29, 2019 |

In Brazil, Reuters reports that Datagro says a recent increase in carbon credit values in the California ethanol market has seen exports to the state increase, perhaps nearly doubling on the year to 650 million liters between January and September. Overall exports for the period are up 24% on the year to 1.45 billion liters. Advanced ethanol RINs make landed Brazilian ethanol about 7% cheaper than the US-produced equivalent, Datagro said during a presentation in Sao Paulo.
