Greenpeace protestors block trucks from entering Total’s biorefinery over deforestation claims

In France, Tuesday morning around 6 am, some 20 activists from Greenpeace France entered the site of La Mède, near Martigues, in the south of France, to denounce the deforestation generated by this plant Total.

Using two containers displaying “Total deforeste, Emmanuel Macron accomplice”, they blocked the access of vehicles to the plant, while other activists have deployed a large banner “Deforestation Made in France”.

Two Greenpeace activists are in each container, and can remain autonomous for several days to block access to the site.
