Thailand to phase out E10 in favor of E20 in early 2020

November 12, 2019 |

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports that the government is preparing to launch E20 in early 2020 in an effort to help boost its farming sector. Domestic ethanol production comes from both cassava and sugarcane molasses. Policy already supports palm oil farmers through the implementation of 10% biodiesel blending. Already E20 and E85 are available at the pump as well as two grades of E10 but those are likely to be phased out early next year.
