Uttar Pradesh wants at least one 2G ethanol plant in every district

In India, the Business Standard newspaper report that Uttar Pradesh announced it is development an action plan to speed up the development and implementation of ethanol produced from crop waste in response to the government’s ordering it, Punjab and Haryana from burning their straw. Burning crop waste has caused severe air pollution over the past several weeks in New Delhi. Two plants are already under development in UP but the state’s chief minister said the plan is for one or two plants to be set up in every district of the state.
