Agriculture secretary certain Trump will soften the “SRE blow”

In Ohio, local press reports that the agriculture secretary said at an event in Decatur that President Trump is looking for ways to “soften the blow” of the Environmental Protection Agency’s small refinery exemption waivers that led to significant ethanol demand destruction. Though the secretary wasn’t specific about measures that are currently being evaluated, he said the EPA’s ethanol waiver decisions had been “over done” and waivers had been applied to a lot of applications rather than just one the President wanted to see.
