Indonesia aiming for B40 in 2021/22

December 10, 2019 |

In Indonesia, Reuters reports that the country’s ambitions to quickly transition to B100 have not been tempered as they announced a shift to 40% biodiesel blending from 2021/22. The blending mandate is currently set to increase to 30% on January 1 from the current 20% blend. Indonesia is looking for ways to absorb its significant palm oil surplus that is weighing on prices and said it plans to begin testing B40 in vehicles next year. B30 trials were recently completed ahead of the increase to B30.
