Community deep in Canadian oil country up in arms over “green” Christmas play

In Canada, the Canadian Press reports that a school board in a small Saskatchewan community had to issue an apology following the annual Christmas school play that had the reindeer, elves and Mrs. Claus working to convert Santa “green” including using ethanol to fly the sleight. The community is in the heart of the province’s oil industry and some parents took offence to the message of the play, saying it was disrespectful and even took to social media to voice their displeasure.
