India’s BioD Energy sells more than 10 million liters of UCO biodiesel in first year

In India, local press reports that BioD Energy sold more than 10 million liters of biodiesel produced from used cooking oil during its first year of operation. Its facility can produce 120,000 liters per day from UCO as well as other feedstocks. Nationally, India produces around 2.2 billion liters of UCO by 2022 and the government is pushing heavily for its collection and conversion to biodiesel for both health and environmental reasons. The Delhi-based company is now looking to expand into Rajasthan.
