Argentine biodiesel producers stuck between a rock and a hard place at home too

In Argentina, the Nación newspaper reports that biodiesel producers are at an impasse with the government following the freeze on biodiesel prices but continued increases for soy oil, making biodiesel production inviable. As a result, they are not supplying biodiesel to oil companies for blending and the fuel sold at the pump does not include the mandated 10% blend. Until soy oil prices drop or biodiesel prices rise, the Bioenergy League representing producers as their hands are tied.
