January 21, 2020 |

In India, the Business Standard newspaper reports that oil marketing companies have launched their second ethanol tender of the season, seeking another 2.53 billion liters to be used in blending with gasoline between February and November because the results of the tender held in September only saw 1.56 billion liters contracted against the 5.11 billion liters requested. Ethanol supplied through the tender can be produced from B or C grade molasses, sugar or sugar syrup, sugarcane juice or broken foodgrains.
