In Brazil, Platts reports that anhydrous ethanol stocks in the North-Northeast region are the lowest in more than a decade at 147 million liters, down nearly 9% on the year. Anhydrous is blended at 27% but the region is typically short the volume required for blending so imports from the US but the tariff scheme on US imports has impeded flows. Imports during the regions crush period between September and February are severely restricted with more volumes unavailable until March.
