In Canada, the Abbotsford News reports that Univar Canada intends to develop a chemical distribution site in British Columbia with nearby access to the US border where it intends to build three large ethanol storage tanks as well as more than two dozen smaller tanks for chemicals, including a rail spur line for transferring the ethanol. The chemicals are intended for supplying the local agricultural industry. Public comment will be sought by the Abbotsford city council in two weeks before issuing development permission.
