Brazilian biodiesel auction sells 1.12 billion at average 68.4 cents per liter

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports that the Brazilian oil and biofuels agency ANP’s most recent biodiesel auction saw 1.12 billion liters contracted for a total of $774 million at an average of 68.4 cents per liter. About 1.27 billion liters were offered at the 71st auction by 42 producers. All of the fuel contracted had the social seal indicating that feedstock had been sourced by smallholder farmers. The biodiesel contracted at the auction is for blending between March 1 and April 30.
