March 2, 2020 |

In Brazil, Reuters reports the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) approved the results of the 71st Biodiesel Auction this Friday, in a step that formalizes the requirement to mix 12% of biodiesel in commercial diesel that begins to arrive at the posts starting on Sunday, said the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove).

Until then, commercial diesel had an 11% blend of biodiesel.

The expectation, according to the association, is to deliver more than 1.1 million cubic meters of biodiesel to the distributors throughout March and April, totaling around 3.4 billion reais negotiated.
Abiove pointed out that the forecast is that biodiesel production in 2020 will reach 6.9 million cubic meters, an increase of about 17% in relation to 2019, which should generate a financial movement in the order of 20 billion reais.
