UECC to trial GoodFuels’ marine biofuel in ro-ro vessels

In the Netherlands, MarineLink reports that UECC has launched a three-month trial using GoodFuels’ marine biofuel in its 140m, 2,080 vehicle carrier that operates between the Port of Rotterdam where the bunkering will take place and Santander, Spain. The trial will use 3,000 metric tons of fuel between March and May, the first time for the ro-ro (roll on, roll off) segment. Should the trial be successful, the two companies will look at further ways to use in the fuel in the ro-ro segment.
