Grassley says Trump Administration won’t appeal SRE appeals court ruling

In Iowa, Brownfield Ag News reports that Senator Chuck Grassley told reporters he believes the Trump Administration won’t appeal the January ruling of the US Court of Appeals 10th Circuit kicking back small refinery exemption approvals to the Environmental Protection Agency for review. Although the White House sought and received a two week extension to appeal the ruling, Grassley says appealing the decision would just “delay the inevitable” and instead the opportunity should be taken to find a new way to help small refineries without tinkering with the Renewable Fuel Standard.
