China seen buying $800 million of US-origin ethanol in 2020

In China, the Global Times newspaper reports that as part of the China-US phase one trade deal, the secretary general of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation says the country will buy $800 million worth of ethanol during 2020 as part of a wider $32.8 billion energy product purchase from the US. The US ethanol industry have suffered significantly from the lack of export trade to China since the trade war began in 2018.
